Last week, Amazfit launched its Amazfit GTR 4 premium round dial smartwatch in India. Today, the company launched the square counterpart of the GTR 4 in India, the Amazfit GTS 4. It costs Rs. 16,999 and is already on pre-order.
The Amazfit GTS 4 mini has been available in the Indian market for some time now, and this comes like its big brother and features a similar design.
Amazfit GTS 4: Price and availability
The Amazfit GTS 4 is available in four different colors: misty white, infinity black, autumn brown and button pink.
It is available at amazon (opens in new tab) and Amazfit website (opens in new tab) in India. The watch is up for pre-order on both platforms and will go on sale in September.
Amazfit GTS 4: Main features and specifications
The Amazfit GTS 4 has a 1.75-inch square AMOLED display on the front, one of the best in the segment. It’s well-built, with its sleek, metallic solid body and one-piece aluminum midframe.
Like the Amazfit GTR 4, there is support for Bluetooth calling with this watch. It is a highly sought after feature among smartwatch buyers these days. It also supports music playback via Bluetooth and can be saved to memory. It can be played through the built-in speakers and also using Bluetooth headphones.
Amazfit GTS 4 supports 150+ sport modes for fitness tracking. It automatically detects strength training exercises and eight sports and supports live sports data broadcasts. Then there’s support for a built-in dual-band standalone GPS.
On the software side, the watch comes with Zepp OS 2.0. It has support for applets and games and has 150+ watch faces for additional customization. It also supports always-on display and built-in offline Alexa.
Coming to the battery, the Amazfit GTS 4 will run for eight days of continuous use. There is a new built-in battery saver mode to extend battery life.
An expensive option?
Smartwatches have become popular gadgets in India and smartwatch prices have dropped significantly.
This smartwatch comes with a price tag of Rs. 17,000. This is quite expensive considering smartwatches like the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 are available for a similar price.
Furthermore, the predecessor of the GTS 4, Amazfit GTS 3, is available for Rs. 9,999 The significant difference between these two is support for Bluetooth calling on the Amazfit GTS 4, which the GTS 3 does not receive.
The Amazfit GTS 4 is a premium offering from Amazfit like the Amazfit GTR 4, but it comes with all the features you need from a smartwatch at this price. Plus, it currently comes with one of the most extensive lists of fitness tracking features in the industry. If you’re in the market for one, it’s one of the only premium options in this segment that comes with a square dial.
